New Zealand defeated Pakistan on the
brilliant innings of Munro in the first T20
Wellington:
New Zealand's first Twenty20 match by opener Colin Munro, after the bowlers'
amazing form, defeated Pakistan by seven wickets today.
In the match
between the top two teams of T20, Munro played an unbeaten 49, PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE TEAMS 2018 in which New Zealand
took 106 runs to save the target of 25 runs with 106 runs for three wickets.
This is New
Zealand's 13th consecutive victory in all formats in the last two months. In
the meantime, the team won five-match ODI series against Pakistan and won the
Test, ODI and T20 series against the West Indies.
Due to minor
injury, Ken Williamson did not play in this match, after the caretaker captain
Tim Southee (3/13) and Seth Rance (three wickets for 26 runs) bowled Pakistan
out for 105 in 19.4 overs. . Left-arm spinner Mitchell Centner also took two
wickets for 15 runs. From
Pakistan, Babar Azam (41) and Hasan Ali (23) have reached double digits. New
Zealand's start to chase the target was also poor, and Rumana Rais (two wickets
for 24 runs) sent opener Martin Guptill (02) and Glenn Philips (03) to the
pavilion for eight.
Munro then
added 49 runs for the third wicket with Ross Bruce (26) and Ross Taylor (22 not
out) as well as 49 for the fourth wicket in an unbroken partnership to help the
team reach the target in the 16th over.
